Devonalds clients pledge £6 MILLION to Cancer Research UK!

We met with Ryan from Cancer Research UK recently and received this amazing certificate! Our very generous clients have now helped pledge a massive £6 MILLION to Cancer Research UK via the Will-Writing service!

Legacy giving makes up over a 3rd of CRUK funding and plays a vital role in their fight against cancer. It’s expected 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime but thanks to CRUK research there is now around a 50% survival rate. With the help of your gifts they aim to push survival up to 3 quarters in the next 10 years.

To put the scale of its benefit into context with an example nearby, in Cardiff, Professor Awen Gallimore and her team are finding new ways to supercharge the cells in our immune system so they can break through the barriers around cancer cells and destroy them. This research could lead to better treatments for more people with cancer. £386,000 could fund Professor Awen Gallimore’s research, helping the immune system to destroy cancer cells, for one year. £6,000,000 could fund fifteen!”
