Catrin Roy

I am a Trainee Solicitor within the Family department here at Devonalds, and am based at the Pontypridd and Tonypandy offices.

I joined Devonalds in September 2025 following the completion of my LLB and Masters of Law at Cardiff University earlier that month. I joined Devonalds as a paralegal within their family team and support fee earners across both public and private law matters. I am currently preparing to take the Solicitors Qualification Exam alongside gaining the necessary experience to qualify as a Solicitor.

My work consists of supporting all fee earners in any way I can and often work closely with clients also. When doing so, I always aim to approach matters in a caring and practical manner in order to support clients from all backgrounds in what can be a very difficult time in their life.

Outside of work I will be found on the netball court. I am currently training as part of the LexisNexis Dragons Nxt Gen team and have previously competed for Wales. I also enjoy spending time with my friends, family and our two French bulldogs!
